The last chequered flag has flown, and the 2025 season of the King of the Roads has come to a close. And in a season that saw 19 races take place across 9 events, it was Davey Todd who was crowned as champion for the third time, following his victories in 2022 and 2024. 

The Englishman took 6 wins across the year on his way to the title, and following his 2024 crown, he became the first rider in the history of King of the Roads to take consecutive championships. The championship came down to the season ending Macau Grand Prix. Todd had to finish at least sixth to snatch the title from Michael Dunlop MBE, which he duly fulfilled by leading every lap and winning for a second time at the Guia Circuit.

In the 7 races he entered, the 8Ten Racing BMW rider never finished lower than second place, when he was beaten by Michael Dunlop MBE in the Briggs Superbike race at the North West 200.

Todd now tops the King of the Roads all time winners list with 13 victories, ahead of Glenn Irwin (8), Michael Dunlop MBE (8) and Erno Kostamo (7).

Todd was presented with his third King of the Roads crown by series representative Libby Hurdman at the Irish Motorcycle Awards last night in Belfast. You can watch all of the awards back here.
