King of the Roads is delighted to announce that our exhilarating road racing series will once again be broadcast across the UK and further a field this year.
The action kicks off this Friday (April 26th) with the Cookstown 100. This high-speed course, like many road races, features rapid straights, a series of jumps, and sharp 90-degree corners that test the riders’ skill and bravery.
Next, the series travels overseas to Finland for the Imatra Road Races, also known as Imatranajo, taking place on July 5th & 6th. Set in the heart of Imatra, alongside the picturesque Vuoksi River, the resurfaced street circuit has been upgraded to meet modern international motorsport standards, making it a must-watch event.
On July 7th, the series moves to the Isle of Man for the iconic Southern 100 Road Races, held from July 7th to 10th. Since 1955, the Billown Course has been a proving ground for future British and World Champions, its undulating and technical layout pushing riders to the limit. This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the event, with plenty of special celebrations planned.
From there, the action heads to Aberdare Park in South Wales on July 12th & 13th. Nestled within the walls of a Victorian park, this demanding circuit has remained largely unchanged since 1949. Its tight, anti-clockwise layout and numerous overtaking opportunities make for some of the most spectacular racing on the calendar.
Next up, we return to Northern Ireland for the Armoy Road Races on July 25th & 26th. Known as the Race of Legends, this event takes place on the very roads where the legendary Armoy Armada (Frank Kennedy, Mervyn Robinson, Joey Dunlop, and Jim Dunlop) honed their craft. The race delivers high-octane action with a warm Northern Irish welcome.
The penultimate stop brings us to England’s only real road racing circuit, Oliver’s Mount, for the Gold Cup. Just minutes from Scarborough’s town centre, this 2.43-mile track has been described as a ‘miniature TT by the seaside.’ With its tight, twisty layout and electrifying atmosphere, Oliver’s Mount provides some of the closest and most thrilling racing in the sport.
Finally, the season concludes with a long-haul journey to Macau for the legendary Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix. Taking place on the infamous Guia Circuit, this high-stakes race features tight corners, high-speed straights, and unforgiving barriers that challenge even the world’s most elite road racers. The 3.8-mile street circuit is a true test of skill, courage, and precision.
In total, this spectacular series will be showcased across twelve adrenaline fueled one-hour episodes, bringing the heart-pounding excitement of road racing to viewers across the world.
